Thank you card - 2nd post today

Papertake Weekly Sketch 86

I've had this clear Stampendous stamp set for many years, but I've never made a card with it as I had a problem with missing parts when I stamped the image.  Today I decided to try again, but this time I stamped the image, scanned it into my computer and fixed the missing lines with the pencil tool in my graphics program.  Love that I can use it in the future and won't have to fuss with trying to get a clean stamped image.  The papers I used were a freebie in a card magazine I bought last month.  Substituted Prima flowers and a ribbon for the stars shown on the sketch.

Oh Christmas Tree

The new challenge at Crafty Ribbons is Pure Whiteness.  I combined that challenge theme with the Emboss it challenges at Simon Says and created this elegant white on white Christmas card.  I've had this Cuttlebug lace tree embossing folder for a couple of years now and couldn't get it to work right until today.  After a couple of tries, I figured out the trick to making it work.  I used a very light weight cardstock and cut the cardstock piece to fit just inside the embossing folder.  I added a sheer white ribbon bow at the bottom of the tree to finish off my pure white card.
